The Orange City Arts Council is excited to join efforts with the Orange City Chamber to bring you the annual festival, Arts on Central! This vibrant event will occur on Wednesday, August 21, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Central Avenue in Orange City. As we conclude the summer and the OnStage season, we invite everyone for an evening of festivities and fun.

Central Avenue will be bustling with a variety of activities and entertainment for all ages. Local businesses will participate, offering a community meal and a range of entertainment. Highlights of the event include:

  • Street Dance: Music by Jammin’ Entertainment, dance the evening away in the heart of downtown.
  • Touch-a-Truck: Get up close and personal with unique and large automobiles.
  • Carnival Activities: All-Kids-Can OCA will bring exciting carnival games and activities for children.
  • Crafts and Face Painting: Enjoy creative crafts and face painting, perfect for kids and families.
  • Art Display: Local artists- Abbi Boutwell, Amelia Hansen and Alisha Hauber.
  • Chalk Art Competition: Compete to create chalk art and win prizes
  • Rootbeer Floats by Sekisui Aerospace

Sign-up to take part in the Chalk Art Competition, transform the sidewalks at Windmill Park into a vibrant museum of chalk art, and compete for exciting prizes. Both individual artists and groups of up to four people are welcome to participate. Registration is required (free). Come celebrate a fun and colorful evening with us, showcasing community talent and encouraging creativity in people of all ages and abilities through this unique art form.
