Orange City Arts Youth Art Showcase is an opportunity for young artists to exhibit their work August 14 - 23, 2023, at the Stadscentrum Building in downtown Orange City IA. Local artists between the ages of 6 to 17 years old, are invited to submit work to the juried exhibition. Prizes will be awarded to 'Best In Show' and 'Honorable Mention' in each age category.

Come learn this interactive skill-building workshop that teaches you how to make your own amazing balloon sculptures! Taught by local art teacher, artist and OCArts Board Member Amy Sharar.
For Ages: 10 and up

Anchors aweigh! When the Jolly Roger vanished into the Bermuda Triangle three hundred years ago, the world thought it was gone for good… until now. Join this swashbuckling pirate crew on an island adventure as they learn what is possible when we work together.
Designed for students at all levels of theatre experience, campers will audition, rehearse, and perform a musical alongside three professional teaching artists...in one week! The Vanishing of the Jolly Roger is a brand-new production with a script by Katie Colletta and original music by Jason Sifford.
A public performance is held on Friday, July 14 at 6:30 pm. Campers must bring a sack lunch and a water bottle each day.

Drumming Workshop with Omaha Street Percussion
Drumming Workshop

Omaha Street Percussion will lead a mini-lesson on drumming and teach the skills to start playing music in this fun and creative way! Participants will use the same items performed by OSP, including buckets, trash cans, pots/pans, and many other recycled items.
