Orange City Arts is excited to announce its captivating lineup of events for the upcoming Fall and Winter season. We warmly invite the community and surrounding areas to join us for a series of cultural and artistic experiences featuring local and international talent.
Iowa Watercolor Society Exhibition
Orange City Arts will host the Iowa Watercolor Society Traveling Exhibition at the NWC DeWitt Library for the month of October. This free exhibit showcases a stunning collection of watercolor pieces from artists across Iowa. The public is welcome to attend. On October 18th at 6:30 PM, join us in the Vogel Room for a special event, The Art of Watercolor, with local artist Judy Thompson. The evening will include a reception and artist talk offering a rare chance to learn about watercolor techniques from a master of the craft.
Japanese Tea Ceremony with Kuniko Yamamoto
Immerse yourself in the elegance of a Traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony on October 25th at 7:00 PM at Kweken Co. Led by Kuniko Yamamoto, this event features the ceremonial preparation and serving of green tea, accompanied by traditional storytelling and Japanese music. Each guest will enjoy a cup of ceremonial green tea, enhancing the full sensory experience of this cultural ritual. Seating is limited, advance ticketing is encouraged.
A Christmas Carol by Flower and Flame
Celebrate the season with a magical reading of Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol on November 23rd. This performance by Sioux Falls artists Flower and Flame will combine a dramatic reading with live music, bringing Dickens’ timeless story to life in a way that will warm your heart and capture the holiday spirit.
Mads Tolling & The Mads Men, Playing the 60s
Don’t miss the exhilarating performance by Mads Tolling & the Mads Men on January 17th This award-winning group will deliver an unforgettable fusion of jazz and contemporary 60s music, sure to entertain and inspire music lovers of all ages.
An Evening of Dance
On February 1st at 7:00 PM, experience the beauty and diversity of dance with An Evening of Dance. Featuring a range of dance styles and performances, this event will showcase the incredible talent and creativity of regional dancers.
